Daydream Believer

The colours of Studio Calico's Daydreamer Believer kit were just the medicine that the doctor ordered this month.  I am dreaming of far away beaches, hazy days, and summer cottages.  The watercolours in the Dear Lizzy Neapolitan collection are soothing and looked amazing with some of the girls photoshoot pictures I have had in recent years.

Those butterflies are from The Guilded Bee and they are perfection.  I have a vintage muffin tin filled with an assortment on my desk right now.  I couldn't put the Dear Lizzy collection down, au contraire, I just placed a big order with Bluemoonscrapbooking.com to have some more shipped.  I have been dying to get my hands on these euphemia flowers pictured below!

Project Life 2012

I wanted to post the first few weeks of Project Life for my friend Robyn to get a visual of what lies ahead of her.  She just had a baby boy, and although she is not a scrapbooker, she came across PL on my blog and is contemplating starting the project to document her little guy James first year of existence.

This project is time consuming, but I am getting so much positive feedback from my family, I keep forging on. For whatever reason, this project intrigues my family more than my scrapbook pages.  Admittedly, it has been fun for me to flip through it too.  I am amazed at the amount of information that I have already forgotten over a period of a few weeks.

Title Page - Lots of Studio Calico stamps being to put to use. The "This" negative tag is by a company called Ormolu.  I have incorporated many of their tags into PL.

Week One - More Ormolu tags.  Lots of Amy Tangerine embellishments, and journaling cards by Marcy Penner.  I am also reaching for Elle's Studio tags quite a bit.

Week Two - I have struck a really good balance between memorabilia, photos and journaling with PL.  I am also trying to resist the urge to buy more of anything for this project and use my stash. But there are loads of journaling tags out there right now that are making me a little weak in the knees. Especially the goodies from Bananafish Studio.  I have not been quick enough on the draw though.  Her stuff has sold out in minutes the past few times she has restocked her store.

Week Three

Week Four

 Week Five

 Week Six

 Week Seven

I have also completed week eight, but it has a good deal of journaling that I would like to keep private.  So Robyn, are you convinced? :)

Ripping off the band-aid

Jeebus.  Has it been almost two months?!  I hate when this happens because I always feel overwhelmed when I finally get back to blogging...so many stories to tell, so many pictures to show.  Where to start?  I kept up with my December Daily and have been doing Project Life (along with everybody else in the universe).  I am enjoying it.  It is a lot of work though.  And honestly, I feel like that is why the blog has remained dusty for the last few months.  I have been recording every iota of my existence since December 1st, 2011.  Between Instagram, Facebook, Twitter....I just felt slightly nauseated talking about myself and my family that much, and I needed a break.  I also work for IBM, so I get my daily computer quota by noon everyday.

Let's start slow.  A few things that have been on my radar lately.

I scored Sarah Mclachlan tickets. She is in Toronto in June playing with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra.  I have wanted to see her perform in concert since high school.  And the stars have finally aligned.

Listening to this song on repeat, and wondering how I can snag tickets to their secret show in Toronto that 102.1 the Edge is sponsoring.

Wanting to order these two skirts from James Perse.

Loving this website.

Planning my California trip for a good friend's wedding in April.

Slightly depressed that Rowan got his hair cut at the barbershop this weekend and he is starting to look like a big boy.
